When I get on a discovery call with a potential client who really wants to work with me and discover their personal style but who is also dealing with a body transition and wants to lose weight (but it might be taking longer than planned) they ask me if it’s worth it to buy new clothes now. My answer is always, “YES, it’s worth it, YOU are worth it.” Even if it’s just a few new outfits, I guarantee you will feel more confident in your body when you figure out your personal style and add clothing to your wardrobe that reflects who you are, regardless of the number on the tag. Your personal style has nothing to do with sizing. You can gain or lose weight and your style can still remain the same. We all deserve to feel good in our clothing no matter what the scale says. We don’t need to wait until you “lose a few pounds” to dress well. You have to get dressed every day any way and you might as well love the clothes you put on your body! And remember: Our bodies are not meant to stay the same throughout our whole lives.
